On the occasion of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s birthday celebrations on Saturday, the GHMC will organize Swachh Survekshan-2018 to create awareness among the citizens. Some 25,000 people are likely to participate in the program scheduled to be held at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Uppal from 9 am. Mayor Dr B. Rammohan, Deputy CMs, Ministers, legislators and others will participate in the function.
The Mayor said the GHMC was striving to fetch revenues with various methods and taking up innovative programs for awareness to households and citizens with regard to segregation of dry and wet waste besides compost for preparing manure for better use. On February 17, as a part of the CM’s birthday celebrations, various SHGs, school children, students from various colleges will participate in the program.
Later, the Mayor, along with senior officials of various departments, inspected the site at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Uppal today. Celebrities from Telugu film world, various sports personalities are expected to attend the program. (NSS)
