The GHMC is taking all measures for active participation in the Swachh Survekshan-2018 and decided to launch a special survey for successful implementation of the procedures to be adopted for Swachh Survekshan-2018.
In this connection, Commissioner Dr B. Janardhan Reddy held a review meeting in the early hours at the GHMC Head Office with all the ZCs, DCs and various senior officials attending to play a very vital role and to fix up the responsibility taking due care as per the norms prescribed for the program.
The Commissioner wanted Swatch committees be constituted in every school, LED lights provided in the best colonies on priority, every circle must have Dry Resource Centre, toilets which are available in petrol pumps must be utilized by the citizens for which the officials concerned must coordinate with the owners of the petrol bunks for better clarity and for better utilization.
Dr B. Janardhan Reddy said in 2018 Swachh Survekshan, there will be 4,000 marks and these will take care according to the civic amenities provided by the authorities. As citizens play vital role, every official must take the responsibility for downloading the Swachh Mobile App by at least two lakh citizens for which around 175 marks have been earmarked.
The GHMC is the only Corporation which created a separate App for inspection of hotels and to take measures for protection of 11.30 lakh samplings planted during Haritha Haram under corporate social responsibility in South Zone.(NSS)
