Puducherry: A heated argument broke out between Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) MLA A Anbalagan on stage during a Swachh Bharat function organized by Puducherry government.
According to reports, the verbal spat started over MLA’s speech length. Dignitaries present on stage intervened. A clip of this incident has gone viral on the social media platforms.
Later, Bedi tweeted: “An MLA’s Mike had to be turned off when he persistently rejected any request from a panel of Hon’ble Ministers to limit his speech.”
“He rejected all appeals. He shouted back. I have seen him do this earlier too. Event was to give away awards for good work done in making Puducherry ODF,” she added.
