SV Prasad appointed Vigilance commissioner of AP

In recognition of his valuable services and clean image, S.V. Prasad, IAS (Retd.) former Chief Secretary AP and present vigilance commissioner was on Monday appointed as first Vigilance Commissioner for the residuary AP State for a period of three years. The AP government issued G.O.MS No. 300, General Administration (SC.F) department on Monday.

SV Prasad thanked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for reposing confidence in him and entrusting key responsibilities for another term. Prasad was selected to I.A.S. in 1975. He served the State in various capacities from Sub-Collector, Gudur to the highest post of Chief Secretary from January 1, 2010 to September 30, 2011. He successfully worked with four Chief Ministers — NT Rama Rao, K. Vijayabhaskar Reddy, N.Janardhan Reddy and N Chandrababu Naidu. (NSS)
