The suspended senior IPS officer Umesh Kumar, who allegedly forged a letter in the name of a Rajya Sabha MP to complain against IPS officer Dinesh Reddy, on Wednesday appeared before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Nampally.
The court has recalled the Non Bailable Warrant against him following submission of Rs 10,000 as surety and asked him to appear before the court in connection with forgery case.
It may be mentioned that the government has suspended him for his unauthorized absence from duty.
Earlier, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court issued summons to Umesh Kumar in connection with forgery case. However, he did not respond. Later the Magistrate Court issued NBW against him.
Later, the High Court kept in abeyance the warrant till June 25 and directed Umesh Kumar to surrender before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court before June 25 in connection with the forgery case registered against him.
