External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj personally replied via tweet to a man asking help for the lost passports while abroad. Swaraj personally answered the query and said if someone has lost their passport, they can visit the embassy for travel documents
A Twitter user @elkar7o wrote his sister and brother-in-law had lost their passports and cash while on vacation in New Zealand.
Dear @SushmaSwaraj my sister and brother in law are in New Zealand on vacation and they have lost their passport along with most of their cash. Please help them get a new one immediately.

Whenever you lose the Passport, pls contact the Indian Embassy. They will give you the travel documents. Money – You have to arrange yourself. https://t.co/1pfK7nmDv2

The man then told External Affairs minister his sister and her husband had “sufficient money.”
They have sufficient money and the embassy will be contacted tomorrow. Thanks a lot for your reply ma'am. Will keep you posted.

Sushma Swaraj often personally provides help to common people on Twitter. In 2016, the Washigton Post called her India’s “crusading Supermom of State, solving the problems of distressed Indians around the world who send her their concerns via Twitter,” quotes India Today.
