Congress leader, Shakeel Ahmed on Saturday, stated that following the BJP leader, Sushil Modi’s tweet, it is now a foregone conclusion that outsiders were brought in Varanasi to swell the crowd of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi’s roadshow.
“Some people had said that regarding the crowd which amassed in Modi’s rally were from outside and not from Varanasi. Even, Mayawati, had also given a statement suggesting the same. What the Congress and Mayawati alleges on Modi may not find any takers for being a political opponent but atleast one should accept what Bihar BJP leader, Sushil Modi, had himself said that locals were less in numbers as compared to outsiders. Therefore, one should not claim too much about the crowd which gathered in his (Modi) roadshow,” Ahmed said.
Earlier yesterday, Congress leader Shakeel Ahmed had tweeted saying “Biharis in huge number were there, Sushil Modi’s tweet confirms Mayawati Ji’s claim that outsiders were there during Mr Modi’s nomination.” (ANI)
