Minister of State for Railways Mr. K. Surya Prakash Reddy is understood to have refused the post of C.M. of A.P. which was offered by Ms. Sonia Gandhi two days back. It seems Ms. Sonia Gandhi is unhappy with C.M. of A.P. Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy who is continuing his opposition for the formation of Telangana saying that it is unconstitutional and hence unacceptable. Ms. Sonia Gandhi feels that Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy is not prepared to accept the decision of C.W.C. He is criticizing it openly which is not acceptable to the party. She had considered changing the present C.M. and hence she had offered this post to Mr. Surya Prakash Reddy. He had mentioned that he is the loyal party worker and is prepared to accept the decision of Congress High Command on Telangana despite public opposition. Since there is a vast opposition of the people of Seema Andhra, he cannot accept C.M.’s post. If party decides to bifurcate the State, he would accept it. It is understood that Ms. Sonia Gandhi had offered him this post since he belongs to Rayalaseema region like Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy and also he is a Reddy.
