Hyderabad, August 05: Development of any medium of instruction depends on the training of the teachers offering coaching through that medium. In order to enhance the proficiency and the talents of the teachers, it is necessary that they are kept abreast of the latest developments in the areas of teaching methodology and techniques.
To achieve this goal, there can’t be any better way than the periodical professional training of the Urdu Medium teachers. These thoughts were expressed by Prof. Shah Mohammed Mazheruddin Farooqui, Director, Central for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers of Maulana Azad National Urdu University while addressing the valedictory function of the five day special professional training programme to improve the teaching skills of Urdu Medium teachers.
This training programme was organized at Urdu University to impart training to Urdu Medium teachers from various high schools in Maharashtra. The programme was organized from 25th July to 29th July 2011.
Prof Farooqui said that new researches and innovative techniques are being introduced in the field of education and it is imperative for the teachers to know the modern trends. It is the bounden duty of the teachers to update their knowledge so that they could teach their students in a better way.
The co-ordinator of the training programme and president, Parbhani Education Society Mr. Abdur Rasheed, Engineer, while addressing the participants of the programme said that the training programme has been organized on a systematic basis and it will certainly be helpful in enhancing the proficiency of the Urdu Medium teachers.
He expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Urdu Medium teachers of Maharashtra to the authorities of Urdu University for organizing such a useful educational training programme.
He said that there is a large number of Urdu Medium teachers in Maharashtra and hence, Urdu University should set up a sub centre in Maharashtra. Participants of the programme expressed their satisfaction on the successful completion of the training programme.
Dr. Mohammed Shujaat Ali Rashid, Dy. Director of the centre conducted the meeting. Mr. Misbahul Anzer, Assistant Professor of the centre proposed a vote of thanks. Dr. Aslam Parvez, Translator of the centre interacted with the participants and advised them for improving their teaching skills.
It may be noted that nearly two hundred Urdu Medium teachers from Maharashtra were benefited from various training programmes conducted by this centre from May to July this year.
