Of the 3.11 crore population, who enrolled their particulars in the survey, only 2.43 crore possess Aadhaar.
The enumerators were instructed that Aadhaar was the prime document at the time of survey and insist not to consider other documents like property tax bill, electricity bill, PAN card, IT returns etc and were asked to enter Aadhaar details without fail.
It was found that almost 70 lakh do not possess Aadhaar. This may increase further after analyzing the data of over 10 lakh households.
