Hyderabad, February 1: It has become very clear that Anantapur faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri was murdered as per a perfectly laid plan.
According to sources, the principal accused Bhanu Kiran had changed his appearance just a day before the murder. He had told his confident Subbaiah of his intention to physically eliminate his “boss” almost a month in advance. As per the pre-determined plan, he had procured two guns from one Anil of Kondapur.
However, Suri’s gunman Manmohan Singh told the police that it was with his gun that Bhanu Kiran murdered Suri. The police have informed the court, quoting Manmohan Singh that it was Bhanu Kiran who had killed Suri. Police also informed the court in the FIR that they have arrested Manmohan Singh and Subbaiah at the Lingampalli police station. Police said that property and financial dealings were the main reasons for the murder.
Subbaiah is believed to have told the police that Bhanu had earned money on his own through settlements and Suri insisted that it should be given to him. Subbaiah reportedly said that Suri ill-treated Bhanu and often scolded him in foul language and even tried to beat him. Vexed with his behaviour and worried about the prospect of losing the money he had earned through his own settlements, Bhanu had decided to physically eliminate Suri. Subbaiah reportedly told the police that his friendship with Bhanu was only five-year-old and claimed that he was informed of Bhanu’s murder plan only an hour before the actual execution. When he expressed fears, Bhanu told him that they would not be caught, Subbaiah reportedly told the police.
On the day of murder, Bhanu reportedly maintained contact with Subbaiah only through SMS messages as he was afraid of speaking on telephone. According to the information, Bhanu asked Subbaiah to suggest a place for the murder and he is believed to have suggested Banjara Hills as it is a lonely place to commit the crime.
Soon after starting from the Alekhya Apartments in Madapur along with Suri, Bhanu reportedly informed their movements through SMSes to Subbaiah. Fifteen minutes later, Bhanu shot Suri at point blank range as planned. Soon after the shooting, Bhanu met Manmohan Singh. As he had no car, he asked Lok Nath to send a car and in the car sent by him, Bhanu, Subbaiah and Manmohan Singh fled to Sholapur, the two followers of Bhanu reportedly told the police. They said that when Bhanu asked them to depart from Sholapur, they expressed fears and continued to accompany him.
