Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu to visit SCR headquarters today

Union Minister of Railways Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu will visit Secunderabad, the Headquarters of South Central Railway, on Monday. During the course of his maiden visit, the Minister will take part in several programmes in the city.

The Minister’s programmes on Monday commence with presiding over the inaugural session of 15th National Seminar on “PPP and FDI in Indian Railways”, being organized by the Centre for Transportation Research and Management (CTRAM), New Delhi, an autonomous body of Transport Professionals, at the Indoor Auditorium of Indian Railway Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunication (IRISET), Tarnaka Road, Secunderabad at 09:45 am.

Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu will later visit Secunderabad Railway Station to flag off two new express trains announced in the Railway Budget – 2014 Viz., Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam AC Express (Weekly) and Nanded – Aurangabad Express (Weekly) via remote video link at 11:00 am. This will be followed by an interactive session with Media and receiving suggestions / representations from various Stakeholders’ Associations (Passengers/ Freight/ Traders etc.) at Secunderabad Station

Subsequently, the Minister of Railways will visit Rail Nilayam, the Headquarters of SCR and interact with officers and railway employees’ unions of SCR etc., Later, he will have a meeting with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at the Telangana Secretariat before leaving for New Delhi in the evening.
