Surat, July 06: Lawyer of one of Surat gangrape accused has filed an application in the local court here today demanding for Narco-Analysis Test of the victim and her friend who was with her when the incident took place.
Babu Pathan representing Abu Bakr, one of the three accused of raping a teenage girl, has filed the application in the court of Chief Judicial Megistrate R I Rawal.
In the application, Pathan has demanded that Narco analysis test of the victim and her friend was necessary to find out the truth if Bakr was present when the incident took place.
Further hearing on the application has been scheduled for July 9.
In an incident that shocked the city last month, three persons Sahid Saiyed, Tariq Saiyed and Abu Bakr, had allegedly abducted a 17-year-old girl while she was on her way to tuition class, and raped her in a moving car.
The trio were later arrested and brought for narco analysis test at the Directorate of Forenscic Science in Gandhinagar.
Narco test on Sahid and Tariq were conducted, while the test on Bakr could not be completed because of some health- related issues
