New Delhi: Ever since the AAP Government came to power in Delhi, the BJP-led Centre and the state government are seen at loggerheads on most of the issues, but on Saturday, in an attempt to improve the relationship, Minister of State for Urban Development Babul Supriyo sang a Bollywood number for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
While sharing the stage for the launch of the NDMC app, NDMC311, the BJP MP sang a song from Bollywood movie ‘Hum Tum’, asking the Delhi Chief Minister that both the Centre and the Delhi Government should work in tandem to work for the development and the prosperity of the people.
“I think we need to work harmoniously to ensure that the people, who have voted us into power, can actually get something back from us,” Supriyo said before he sang the song for Kejriwal.
Interacting with the media after the launch of the app, Supriyo said that the stage at the atmosphere was very nice and added that politics and work for the betterment of the people and the society should not be mixed.
“The atmosphere of the stage was very nice. I always say that nothing can happen without the AAP’s help. We should not mix politics and work. What we have between us, leave it but we have to work harmoniously for those who have chosen us and brought us in the power,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kejriwal said that he was very happy to meet Supriyo, adding that the way in which the latter said that both Centre and the state government have to work together, reflects positivity. (ANI)
