New Delhi: Reacting strongly over the Supreme Court’s ruling on homosexuality, Shahi Imam Masjid Fatehpuri Maulana Dr Mufti Mohammed Mukarram Ahmed said it is un-Islamic and unnatural and will promote shamelessness. He told this while delivering Friday sermon. He said Islam does not permit indecency and unnatural sex. No society ever permits such a thing. The ruling is unfortunate and will only increase crimes. He urged the government to move to Court again.
Regarding Uniform Civil Code Mufti Mukarram said there is no need for Uniform Civil Code because intervention in Islamic shariah is unconstitutional.
On the venom spitting in the manual prepared for BJP members, Maulana said the constitution of India does not permit provocation against minorities. Legal action should be taken against it.
