Prince Muffakham Jah released Prof. Ahmedullah Khan’s book “Judicial Administration of Asaf Jahi Period”. Dr. Mohammed Ali Rafath, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare attended the meeting as a Chief Guest. Mr. Zafar Javeed, Vice Chairman of Sultanul-Uloom Education Society presided over the meeting. Mr. Kahaj Ruknuddin Ahmed, Secretary and Prof. Akhtar, Principal, Sultanul Uloom College of Law were seated on the dais. Dr. Rafath paid a rich tribute to Asif Jahi dynasty and said that the beautiful buildings of High Court, City College, Osmania Hospital, Assembly, Osmania University, Nizamia Unani Hospital are the monuments of Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan, Mr. Zafar Javeed told that Prince Muffakham Jah is ruling on the hearts and minds of the people. Prof. Ahmedullah Khan told that the purpose of writing this book is to show that whatever services Europe and America are offering today were already introduced during the Asif Jahi period. Judiciary was separated from Executive. There was a jury of 13 members. HEH The Nizam used to honour the decisions of the jury. Death sentence and other major punishments used to be referred to HEH The Nizam as it is being referred to President.
