Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari today directed that the officials should complete Mission Bhagiratha works expeditiously and supply safe waters by Jan 1 next year to villages. He held a review meeting on water scheme and development works being taken up in combined Warangal district along with MPs, MLAs, MLCs leaders and officials. The minister said that the water scheme works in the district should be completed as per schedule. Laying of pipes, quality maintenance, fixing leaks if any and related works should be completed as per plan he directed. Those work agencies and officials should coordinate for proper execution of the works.
Srihari warned that serious action will be taken if they failed to complete the tasks by December this year and ensure that the rural households get timely supply of waters. He said that works at Paleru and LMD Warangal are slow pace and need to be completed by Dec end as per KCR directive. Collectors and officials should review the progress of the project on regular basis. No negligence will be tolerated and works should be taken as serious since the water scheme is very prestigious to the government, Srihari said. He instructed the legislators and other leaders to hold review of the works once in 15 days. (NSS)
