The Telangana Government has decided to set up a super specialty hospital in Warangal, at a cost of Rs 150 crore, said Deputy Chief Minister T Rajaiah, here on Thursday.
He said efforts would be made to mould Warangal as a model medical district by modernizing government hospitals and medical services. In accordance with the recommendations of Kamalanathan Committee, all vacant posts at the MGM Hospital would be filled up.
The Deputy Chief Minister on Sunday conducted a 24-hour ‘Hospital Stay’ programme and visited TB Hospital, Regional Eye Centre, CKM, MGM, ENT and Hanamkonda Maternity Hospitals at Warangal district headquarters. During the visit to the hospitals, the Deputy CM interacted and examined some patients.
He asked the officials of the TB Hospital to submit proposals for the development of the hospital.To maintain sanitation in government hospitals, a vigilance committee should be constituted to oversee the cleanliness, he told the officials.
