New Delhi: It was a warm morning in the national capital on Saturday with the minimum temperature recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season’s average, the weather office said.
It has predicted light rains for the day ahead.
The Safdarjung observatory measured 45.4mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours since Friday.
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 83 per cent.
“It will be a generally cloudy sky with possibility of light rains,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius, he said.
Friday’s maximum temperature settled at 35.8 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season’s average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 28 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season’s average.
