New Delhi, March 28: Sunil Kumar Lal, joint secretary in the external affairs ministry here, was Monday appointed India’s next ambassador to Spain.
Lal will replace Sujata Mehta in Madrid. “He is expected to take up his assignment shortly,” a ministry release said.
Mehta had taken over as ambassador to Spain in November 2007.
