Sunday Bazaar of Patthargatti, a flourishing market for antiques

The Sunday Bazaar of Patthargatti Hyderabad thrives hale and hearty and the people of twin cities throng at the market open on Sundays. The range of items available at the market is vast. One can get everything from right from chandeliers to watches and from bronze statues to modern equipments.

Nearly 100 stalls are set up at the roadside of Charminar to Pathargatti stretch every Sunday. One can chance upon anything from Batteries, mobile phones, chargers, head phones, tape recorders, pens, gems, stones to stoves, frying pans and knives. People are more interested in purchase of bronze and wooden statues, old gramophone, night lamps, chandeliers, and other antiques. The price, needless to say, is cheap. Stall owners revealed that researchers also arrive at the stalls to gather information. While the locals try for a low-cost deal, foreign tourists do not bargain and buy the items on offered price.
