A new study has revealed that the relationship of the couples who meet during summer holidays, now last upto at least five years.
The research by Icelolly has found that holiday romances are now lasting longer than ever, the Daily Star reported.
It was established that of the 2,000 couples that have been together for at least five years polled by the travel comparison experts, nearly six in 10 met during a holiday in the sunshine.
The survey also revealed that Brits tend to be on their most passionate behaviour when the temperatures rises, with 46 per cent admitting to having shared their first kiss while on a summer holiday and more than two-thirds confessed to locking lips with their companion more when abroad.
The most popular kissing spots included the beach, hotel pool, airport, nightclub and sea.
James Preece, known as The Dating Guru, said that everyone feels more optimistic, happier and relaxed on summer holidays and when beautiful settings would be combined with that mood it creates the perfect frame for romance.
Due to facebook, skype and text messages, distance no longer would be a barrier to keep new couples apart, so that provided more chances for summer romance to last longer that ever now, he further added. (ANI)
