Summary revision of voter rols on

Hyderabad, April 19: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has taken up the summary revision of Electoral Rolls with January 1, 2010 as the qualifying date. The process of revising the rolls with January 1, 2010 as the cut-off date (for deciding completion of 18 years of age) started in the constituencies in Hyderabad district on Thursday. The exercise would continue up to April 30. The draft rolls would be published on May 20.

Any queries in connection with inclusions, deletions, corrections and transpositions of entries in the Electoral Rolls, Citizens/Electors could be made at offices of the Assistant Electoral Registration Officers or Electoral Registration Officers between May 20 and June 12.

Forms can also be downloaded from the GHMC website and submitted in person with passport size photographs.

A special campaign will be taken up by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at the Polling Stations on Saturday and Sunday (April 24 ans 25) to help eligible voters enrol their names.

There are 3,174 polling booths.

The newly-constituted Heritage Conservation Committee (HCC) has unveiled plaques at the Greenlands building and the Sardar Mahal near the Charminar.

The HCC last week decided to have plaques at all notified Heritage structures in a phased manner to highlight their importance.
