TRS MP Suman today welcomed the environmental clearance given by the Centre for the prestigious Kaleshwaram project.
Reacting to the central clearance for the project given by Water Resources Center Chairman V Prakash, Suman said it was a slap on the Opposition parties, who were creating hurdles. With this, all hurdles have been cleared and paved way for speedy completion of the project. He alleged that the Opposition does not like completion of the project and conspired against it. However, the unrelenting efforts by the Chief Minister KCR bore fruit.
Suman alleged that Telangana was deprived of irrigation waters during the previous Congress regime. However, the TRS Government made persistent efforts for completing the projects to irrigate one crore acres over five years, he said.
Talking to mediapersons here, the MP said the Centre gave its final nod for the project which is very important in Telangana State. It will irrigate about 18 lakh acres in the north Telangana region on completion of the project in June next, he maintained. The MP also said the prestigious Kaleshwaram project was the brainchild of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. (NSS
