Sultan ul Ulama, Hazrat Raza Agha Baqari passes away

Hyderabad: Noted religious scholar belonging to Shia School of Thought, Hazrat Maulana Aqaa-e-Syed Ghulam Husain Raza Agha Baqari, General Secretary All India Shia Muslim Personal Law Board passed away at the age of 80 years. He was ill for quite some time. He breathed his last at KIMS hospital on Friday.

Hazrat ul Ulama Maulana Syed Raza Agha was counted among a few top Zakireen who played key role in maintaining integrity. Syed Raza Aaqa had been the classmate of religious leader of Islamic Republic of Iran, Syed Ayatollah Khamenei. Maulana Syed Raza Agha was well versed in Urdu, Persian and Arabic. He was the founder president of Majlis Ulama-e-Zakireen in Hyderabad. He founded a religious Madrasa with the name Madrasa-e-Murtuza. He is survived by a son and a daughter.

According to sources Syed Raza Aaqa’s funeral prayer will be offered on Saturday, at Alawa Sartauq and burial will take place at Daera Meer Momin Sultan Shahi.
