Sultan Bazaar traders ask for TDP help

Hyderabad, January 29: Stepping up the pressure to change the alignment of Metro Corridor-II, traders of Sultan Bazar, Badichowdi, Koti, Putlibowli met Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu to help them in their cause to protect their livelihood.

After hearing their problems patiently, Chandrababu Naidu assured the traders that he would study the measures of re-alignment suggested by them and take up the matter seriously with the state government.

Traders alleged that some Congress leaders were behind the change of the Metro route.

The route was originally proposed during the TDP regime and it was better then, the traders told Naidu.

Naidu said the TDP would raise the matter in the forthcoming Budget session of the Assembly. He added that the Congress leaders had also changed alignment of Outer Ring Road (ORR) according to their whims and fancies.

Meanwhile, the traders of Sultan Bazar, Putilbowli, Badichowdi, Kachiguda, Narayanaguda and Musheerabad areas will go ahead with their planned bandh on Saturday, bringing the bustling market area to a halt.
