Rajhmundary, March 02: B Rupa Suryasri, wife of B Siva Kumar, a prime accused in the kidnap and murder of advocate Kalyan attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills at her mother’s house in Bhaskar Nagar today. Rupa’s mother Usha Rani came to know of it when she entered her room to inform her of a phone call from the police. She found her daughter lying on the bed in unconscious state. She was rushed to Government hospital immediately.
Magistrate Anandini recorded the statement of Rupa Suryasri in the hospital. Her mother Usha Rani alleged that there was a threat to her life from B Siva Kumar and demanded the Government to arrest him immediately.
