Kabul, April 25: A suicide bomb attack, targeting a group of security guards in southern Afghanistan has left three people dead and seven others injured.
The suicide bomber detonated his explosive-packed vest early Sunday near a group of security guards as they stood near a highway bazaar in the Sharjoy district, said the spokesman for the Zabul provincial government, Mohammad Jan Rasoulyar.
“The bomber exploded near them. Three people, including one security guard and two civilians were killed and seven others, all civilians, were injured,” AFP quoted him as saying.
Kabul, which neighbors Kandahar to the East, has witnessed significant spillover activity from the Taliban insurgency that is particularly active in Kandahar.
