Two Sub-Inspectors belonging to the same police station committing suicide within a span of one year has triggered off a sensation in Siddipet district.
Sub-Inspector Prabhakar Reddy attached to the Kuknoor Police Station committed suicide on Wednesday by shooting himself to death with the service revolver in his quarters.
His suicide has triggered off a sensation in the district as he had taken charge as Sub-Inspector of the police station just 11 months back after the then Sub-Inspector Ramakrishna Reddy too had shot himself to death. Incidentally Prabhakar Reddy too committed suicide in the same quarters where his predecessor had shot himself to death.
While the reasons behind Prabhakar Reddy resorting to extreme step of committing suicide is not yet known and is under investigation, his relatives alleged harassement of superiors was the root cause. (NSS).
