Suguna chicken safe to consume: Company

The High Security Animal Disease Laboratory (HSADL) has confirmed that certain parts of India have been affected by the outbreak of Bird flu. According to the reports, the virus has mostly affected the ducks, waterfowls and country birds which freely move around and come in contact with migratory birds.
In a pressnote here on Wednesday, Mohan, vice-president, Suguna Foods Limited has stated at the Suguna Foods, the broiler chickens are hatched, grown and governed in a controlled environment with high safety standards. With strict bio-security measures under veterinarians’ care, the chances for the broiler chickens to be infected by the Bird flu are remote.
He further stated Suguna ranks among the top ten poultry companies worldwide. With operations in 16 States across India, it offers a range of poultry products and services. The fully integrated operations cover broiler and layer farming, hatcheries, feed mills, processing plants, vaccines and exports.
