Mumbai: Prices of both varieties of sugar rose at the Vashi wholesale market here today following heavy offtake by stockists as well as strong upcountry enquiries amid restricted arrivals.
Small sugar (S-30) moved up by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,550/3,672 from last Saturday’s closing level of Rs 3,540/3,672.
Medium sugar (M-30) climbed by Rs 30 per quintal to Rs 3,642/3,782 as against Rs 3,612/3,782 previously.
