Sugar prices end flat on small buying support

New Delhi: Sugar prices ended steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today following scattered buying support amid restricted activity.

Marketmen said scattered buying helped sweetener prices to remain steady.

Volume of business was restricted due to prevailing cash crunch in the market following the government’s decision to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes.

Sugar retail markets – Rs 41.00-45.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 4,000-4,300, S-30 Rs 3,990-4,290.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,500-3,710, S-30 Rs 3,490-3,700.
