Hyderabad: Govt. of Telangana decided to extend the tenure of office of Sudhir Commission of Enquiry by a year. This step has been taken to assist BCs Commission.
It may be mentioned that Sudhir Commission of Enquiry had visited various districts of Telangana State and submitted a comprehensive report on the social, economic and educational backwardness of Muslims.
CM has decided to extend the term of office to assist BCs Commission in the enactment of 12% reservation for Muslims. Sources indicated that this step has been taken to review all legal and constitutional aspects of Muslim reservations. Govt. had decided to present Muslim reservation bill in the budget session of the Assembly which is uncertain.
