State government may need some more time for implementation of 12 percent Muslim reservation. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, on March 16, has extended the term of Sudhir Commission of enquiry for another 6 months. Government had formed Sudhir Commission and Chellaiah commission for assessing the social status of minorities and scheduled tribes respectively in March last year. The terms of the commissions were 6 months.
On the basis of the report submitted by the commissions the government will implement 12 % reservations but the government has extended the term of both the commissions for further 6 months.
