Sudhir Commission of Enquiry, which is studying the educational, economic and social status of Muslims visited orphanages and educational institutions of the city on Thursday. Commission Chairman ex-IAS officer G Sudhir, members Mohammed Abdul Bari, Dr. Amerullah Khan and Prof. Abdul Shaban at first visited Aneesul Ghurba an orphanage located at Nampally and took stock of the arrangements. The orphanage has a capacity of 80 students however presently 56 students including 16 girls are staying in the orphanage.
The Commission directed to increase the strength and improve the arrangements of the orphanage. The commission felt that attention is needed on health and hygiene arrangements. The institution failed to produce the record of donations and expenditure.
The commission also visited Health Centre located at Aghapura, M S Creative School located at Mallepally, United Public School located at Jahanuma.
The Commission will visit more institutions in the coming days to review the condition of Muslims.
