Sudhir Commission of Enquiry seeks data from govt. agencies to ascertain Muslim backwardness

The Sudhir Commission of Inquiry form to assess the socio-economic and educational conditions of Muslims, has directed the government agencies to submit data regarding representation of Muslims in jobs and their participation in education within one week.

Commission Chairman Retd IAS officer G Sudhir and commission member Mohammed Abdul Bari conducted review meeting with 10 government departments and informed them about the details required by the commission. The departments which attended the meeting include School Education, Higher Education, Technical Education, Medical Education, Medical and Health, State Level Bankers Committee, Council for Higher Education and Minority Welfare.

G Sudhir told that officers that he had to submit a comprehensive report to the government regarding socio-economic status of Muslims hence he appealed all the department to cooperate with him and submit the report within a week.
