Hyderabad: Sudheer Committee has decided to submit its report as early as possible to the Govt. It may be noted that Govt. of Telangana had appointed Mr. G. Sudheer, a retired IAS Officer as the Chairman of this committee The Chairman and the members of this committee met Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali and apprised him of the proceedings of the committee. Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali told the commission to submit its report within the stipulated time so that Govt. could take appropriate steps for the development of Muslims. He also told the committee to guide the Govt. on the issue of reservations for Muslims since Mr. KCR is serious about fulfilling his promise to provide 12% reservation for Muslims. After the receipt of the report of the committee, Govt. will constitute BCs Commission which is authorized to suggest reservations.
The Chairman of the commission told the Dy. CM that it is reviewing the social, economic and educational backwardness of the Muslims. It is also receiving representations from various sections of society. Experts and Scholars from various parts of the country are being invited for drafting the report. In this context a meeting of the experts is being convened on 17th November in Hyderabad.
Mr. Mahmood Ali expressed his satisfaction on the functioning of the committee and desired that it should submit a report which should be free from all the legal litigations. He also told that the Govt. is in contact with noted constitutional experts of the country.
