Sudanese student among two killed in road accidents

A 20-year-old Sudanese national was killed and his friend was injured when the bike they were riding was hit by a lorry on Dilsukhnagar Road on Friday afternoon.

According to Hayathnagar police, the accident occurred, when the victim, Ahmed Abdul Khan and his friend Adam, were returning to their home in Vanasthalipuram, after writing their engineering second year exam. While Khan died on the spot, Adam sustained multiple injuries. Both were Sudan nationals and have been living in the city to pursue their studies.

In another case, Vasudeva Rao, 43, and his cousin Veeraswamy sustained grievous injuries when the bike they were riding was hit by a water tanker near Rajiv Chowk on Thursday night. Both were admitted to Osmania General Hospital where Vasudeva Rao died on Friday morning. He was an employee of a private firm and resident of Laxmi Nilayam in Vijayapuri Colony of Vanasthalipuram, according to Saroornagar police. (INN)
