According to a press note issued by Qirat society, Malaysia has been conducting Qirat competitions at International Level for the past 55 years. Iqra Qirat Society sent a representation to External Affairs Minister Mr. Salman Khursheed requesting him to ensure adequate representation of the Qaris of India. Ministry of External Affairs contacted the Secretary of Iqra Qirat society and got the details. It got the Malaysian Govt. agreed for sending invitation to India. Qirat Society thanked Mr. Salman Khurshid for taking immediate action.
