Subsidy for self-employment scheme to weaker sections

(Siasat News) Govt. of A.P. has decided to provide subsidy for self-employment schemes for Minorities, S.C’s., S.T.s and other B.C’s. A group of Minister has been appointed to finalize the recommendations. Under this schemes a subsidy of 50% would be provided for the loans granted by the banks to the extent of Rs. 1 lakh.

Mr. Shaik Mohammed Iqbal, I.P.S. Commissioner of Minorities Welfare Dept., has appealed to the Minority communities to make use of this scheme. He told that Govt. has allocated separate budget for each community and for each districts a target has been fixed. The beneficiaries should be between the age group of 21 to 40 years. For S.C’s, S.T’s this age group will be 21 to 45 years. Highly educated students of technical courses will be preferred. One person from each family will be provided subsidy. Targets have been fixed at Mandal level according to the population of various groups. The officials have been instructed to finish the target before 31st March.
