Spitting fire at Telangana state government for externing Sri Peetam chief Swamy Paripoornananda from Hyderabad City for six months, BJP senior leader and Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy addressed a letter to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao alleging that the Telangana state government was acting against the Constitution. He asked the Telangana government to tell as how it could file such cases against Swamijis. He lashed out at the TRS government and asked whether it could treat Sadhus like Gundas.
He said in his letter that City Externment orders were nothing but insulting Swamy Paripoornananda severely and disrespected the name and fame of the Paripoornananda. He opined that the externment orders violated the freedom of speech and freedom of movement of Paripoornananda Swamy. It may be mentioned here that the Telangana government was imposed externment against cine critic Kathi Mahesh first later on Swamy Paripoornananda for proposing rally against the remarks on Lord Rama by Kathi Mahesh.
