Sub-registrar of MCD birth and death dept suspended

New Delhi, August 18: An official of the birth and death department of Municipal Corporation of Delhi has been suspended after blank certificates, allegedly with his signature, were found in one of its office in west Delhi.

Sub-registrar T C Nautiyal was suspended today by the MCD’s West Zone Deputy Commissioner S C Kohli after he found four signed blank certificates from Citizen Service Bureau in Ashok Nagar, a statement from the MCD said.

Nautiyal, a Public Health Inspector and working as sub-registrar at the Ashok Nagar CSB, allegedly failed to maintain honesty and integrity in discharge of his duties as the signed certificates might have been used for faking birth or death, it said.

Municipal Commissioner K S Mehra has directed Chief Vigilance Officer to initiate regular departmental action against Nautiyal.
