P. Gopalakrishna (55), Sub-Registrar of Chila Mathur, Anantapur district was caught red-handed by the ACB officials on Monday morning hours at Laxminarayana General Stores situated near SRO office, when he demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs.25,000 from the complainant A. Kalyana Chakravarthy, Resident of Bangalore and handed over to Laxminarayana (A-2), owner of the said General stores, an official favor i.e. to delivering the said registered document to the complainant. Bribe amount of Rs. 25,000 was recovered from the right side pant pocket of A-2.
Both the Accused Officers were arrested and produced before the ACB Court, Kurnool. Case is under investigation. (INN)
