Hyderabad, October 14: An SI attached with Hyderabad city police allegedly beat up children playing at an apartment and even threatened their parents with his service revolver today following an argument over children playing in the corridor of the apartment. Cyberabad police, who registered a case against the police officer, said the SI was absconding.
The incident took place in Gayatri Vihar apartments on Kothapet-Nagole main road today. The SI, Sudhakar, attached with the Mir Chowk police station in the Old City.
“Around 6 p.m, when the SI came to his house he found a few children playing cricket in the corridor of the first floor. He told them to leave the place but they did not and when the ball hit his door he got furious and threatened them with his revolver,’’ police said. Sudhakar allegedly beat one of the boys.
