London: Luis Suarez scored a scintillating hat-trick as Barcelona thrashed Celta Vigo 6-1 in their La Liga clash at Camp Nou.
Barca talisman Lionel Messi put the hosts ahead in the 28th minute before Celta striker John Guidetti restored parity for his side with a penalty six minutes before the break, the Guardian reported.
The Spanish giants then accelerated the game as Suarez restored the lead in 59 minutes before the Uruguayan international completed his treble in grand style.
Subsequently, Ivan Rakitic and Neymar completed the thrashing by adding a goal each late on as Barcelona maintained top place in the league standings with 57 points. (ANI)
