London: Luis Suarez stole the limelight in Barcelona’s emphatic 8-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna by scoring four scintillating goals and providing three assists in the La Liga clash.
Barca’s shocking loss of form which resulted in three consecutive defeats had blown the title race wide open but the Uruguayan international sparked his side’s stuttering title charge back to life, the Guardian reported.
Suarez scored twice either side of half time, while providing the cross for Ivan Rakitic to put his side in a commanding position.
Lionel Messi, Marc Bartra and Neymar also powered their way through Deportivo’s defence as they rounded off the scoring late on.
Barca are level on 79 points with Atletico Madrid, while Real Madrid are a point adrift following their 3-0 win over Villarreal. (ANI)
