Mumbai:Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty believes it is not easy to do stunts and they are huge risks for entertainment.
“It (doing stunts) is a difficult job. It is sad that out hard work doesn’t get acknowledged. In all cars my stunt men are sitting,” Rohit told reporters here at the trailer launch of “Dilwale” last night.
“When the stunt happens our heart is in my mouth… We pray all goes well. It’s easy to make fun… That car is flying… It is for entertainment. It (stunts) is a huge risk for entertainment (industry),” he said.
42-year-old Rohit has made blockbuster films like “Singham”, “Singham Returns”, “Chennai Express” among others which have action packed scenes.
The leading actors from his film “Dilwale” – Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol feel Rohit gives utmost importance to safety measures.
“Safety measures have changed from what they were earlier to what it is today. We are much safer. I feel Rohit Shetty’s set is safest,” Kajol said.
“There are eight-nine action scenes in the film… After taking extreme safety measures anything can go wrong. But his team is safest team to do action. You feel encouraged,” Shah Rukh said.
Rohit reveals actor Varun Sharma of “Fukrey” fame wanted to know if he was cute in his upcoming film “Dilwale”.
“First time in my career an actor… Varun Sharma has asked me if he is looking cute or not. I don’t have answer for it. Generally actors ask whether they are good or not,” the “Golmaal Returns” helmer said.
“Dilwale” also starring Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Johnny Lever, Kabir Bedi releases on December 18.
