Stung by reversals, KKR promises the moon to first-time MLAs

Hyderabad, August, 30: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is a worried man and he has been showing his desperation quite openly.

His frustration stems from the possible floor-crossing by fence-sitters.

Stung by the reversals in the form of resignations by Legislators owing allegiance to Kadapa Member of Parliament Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister has gone into a massive damage-control mode.

Towards this he interacted with first time Congress Legislators in his C Block office. Apparently, his hidden agenda was to woo the vulnerable MLAs to his side so that he would not be caught on a sticky wicket on D-Day.

As a measure of appeasement, Mr Reddy assured to look into any problems their individual constituencies may be confronted with.

Taking a dig at Jagan Mohan Reddy he exhorted the MLAs not to get influenced by YSR Congress’ sweet-talk. Virtually telling them to honor the ticket given to them at the time of hustings, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy said their future would be secure only in the Congress party.

Today’s interaction saw the Chief Minister giving a pep talk to 34 Congress MLAs. Incidentally, three of belong to Telangana.

This is a sequel to a similar discussion he had in the camp office recently.

Meanwhile, Forest Minister Shathrucharla Vijayarama Rao reiterated that there was no threat to the Kiran Kumar Reddy government as it enjoyed the overwhelming support of 157 Legislators.
