Study finds use of probiotic bacteria helpful to burn belly fat

The findings of a study reveal that supplements containing probiotics, may burn abdominal fat. Probiotics are the live bacteria that prevent intestinal fat absorption. Micropharma, the company that makes the probiotic supplements had sponsored the study.

Initially the study was done at a small number of people who were only slightly overweight. Through the study it was found that those who ate probiotic supplement over a month and a half had lost 3 to 4 percent of their body fat. Most of that fat loss was associated to belly fat.

However probiotics wouldn’t eliminate the need to maintain a proper diet and exercise.
