Hyderabad, May 28: Asserting that the preparations for Eamcet2010 scheduled to be held on May 30 across the state are going on smoothly, Dr. D N Reddy, ViceChancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) and Chairman of Eamcet 2010 warned that criminal cases would be booked against the candidates if they take away the OMR sheets.
Speaking to media persons here today, Reddy made it clear that candidates would not be allowed into the examination hall even if they come one minute late and asked them to be present an hour before the scheduled time at the test centre.
“Candidates would be allowed into the examination hall 45 minutes before the exam time. Sharpened HB pencils would be supplied to them and students need to bring only erasers and sharpeners. They can use their pencils but it would be better if they use the pencils supplied by the officials,” he said.
Eamcet will be held on May 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for engineering stream and from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 pm. for medical stream.
Dr. N V Ramana Rao, convener of Eamcet said they received a total of 3,83,408 applications of which 3, 28,869 are for engineering and 54,539 for medicine stream.
He said halltickets have already been dispatched and students can collect them personally.
Those who did not get their hall tickets can download them by entering the registration number/application of the candidate given in the acknowledgement card by logging into the Eamcet official portal www.apeamcet.org
He said the results would be announced after June 15.
